Magnetism is, non chemical environmentally safer approach for the treatment of fluids. Magnetic interactions can achieve separation that are either impractical or impossible to achieve by other techniques. Magnetic fields have two functions on scale. Both these effects are responsible for observed scale loosening.

More experiments have been carried out on calcite and proven to be successful.
Effects on silica still not confirmed.
Chemical composition of all compounds present in scale producing fluids should be known.
